Consortium CP4SC
Ericsson R&D France is part of the consortium CP4SC. The mission of Cloud Platform for a Smart City (CP4SC) is to empower governments to bring their bold carbon neutrality ambitions to life. We do this by harnessing the power of data, drawing from a wide range of sources including mobility, energy management, and earth and environmental observation. Ericsson R&D France put 5G connectivity to the heart of the platform to enable Internet of Things (IoT) devices across various urban applications – from traffic management to building operations, city planning, and air quality control. All of these were powered by the leading-edge 5G Standalone network.
Looking ahead up to June 2025 the consortium members will be collaborating to define a global integration base for the platform and develop innovative new components. With the combined expertise of various INRIA and IFPEN laboratories, we're on track to create a standardized, interoperable data platform. This platform will be a game-changer for governments at all levels, enabling seamless data sharing and collaboration between diverse actors – from the public and private sectors to research institutions.
